Meet SCOTT

Scott is a professional Personal Trainer with over 9 years experience working in the Health and Fitness industry.

Active throughout all of his early adult life with a keen interest in Sports, Strength training, Corrective Exercise, Nutrition and much more, he began an Apprenticeship with BTF to become a Qualified instructor at 20 Years Old.

Since then he has helped over 1000 Norwich residents improve their Health and Fitness in meaningful and enjoyable ways. Being passionate about seeing people take on big goals and using health and fitness as a way to improve their lifestyle in and out of the gym.

Now, Fitness is a huge part of keeping him ready to tackle outdoors challenges such as Tough Mudders, Spartan Races, Mountaineering, Bouldering and much more.

Meet LAURA

Laura is a passionate certified Personal Trainer who has over 18 years experience working in the Health and Fitness industry.

As a student at Loughborough University, Laura was offered the opportunity to volunteer at the 2012 London Olympics working alongside Dame Kelly Holmes in the English and Japanese training camps based on Campus.

She also got the opportunity to work alongside the Leicester Tigers Rugby team as an apprentice Strength and Conditioning Coach. Laura’s passion for being active all stemmed from a young age through her love for football.

She played competitively throughout her childhood and into the early stages of adulthood. As a mother herself, her passion for football is now played through the eyes of her children.

To get an idea of your goal and to help us tailor your sessions to your individual goals, here's an outline of our different training methods.

Each session is completely individualised to you, they're not 'cookie cutter' programmes.

This helps us to hone in on what you're looking for and to help get you the best possible results!

  • FIT - Take your overall fitness to the next level with sessions that improve your total work capacity and will have you moving faster than ever. You’ll find you can work for longer intervals and need shorter rest after just a few of these! Great if you want to move faster, perform more reps, and bump up your cardio.

  • STRONG - Build up your ability to lift heavy weights with great form and get yourself an impressive maximum lift. Whether you’re new to lifting weights or have done so for a while, we’ll provide techniques and workouts. Great to improve your strength with day to day confidence and the confidence of lifting some mean weights!

  • SCULPT - If you’re ready to develop your muscles shape and tone, these workouts will give the added boost and are a great calorie burner too! It’s also a great way to get into lifting weights without the heavy workload!

  • PRECISION - A Technique focused programme; tell us a selection of exercises that you want to work on and we’ll use dedicated time and specific exercises to have you master it like a pro. Once you can perform any exercise to its fullest, you start to get more and more from it!

  • POWER - Dynamic movements that help you to move your body a little faster, a little more explosively, and with force! This will include a little running, jumping, throwing etc. All of the most fun stuff! This would be perfect for things like OCR practice, giving you confidence to move well, or just having a really cool workout!

  • PRE / POST NATAL - Pre and postnatal women are categorised as a ‘special populations group’. This includes any female who has just become pregnant, is currently going through pregnancy or has given birth within the last 8 weeks (minimum). To remain active during any of these stages it is very important to have the guidance and support from an exercise professional who understands the changes to the body during this time.

I have really enjoyed the PT programme at BTF which I began in October. I really appreciated the ability to tailor the course precisely to my requirements, for example I wanted to do some weights but not too much, and wanted minimal cardio, which is precisely what I got! I noticed progression early on and was able to concentrate on technique and form, which I think sometimes gets missed when you're exercising in other environments, and when I injured my back unexpectedly, the coaches were able to adjust the course in conjunction with my physio's advice to ensure I was able to work safely and speed up my recovery.
